Veterinary
Treatment Facility
975 Falcon
St. 828-2221
The mission of the Veterinary
Treatment Facility (VTF) is to provide complete
medical care for military working dogs; to prevent and control zoonotic
diseases; and to provide veterinary health services to privately owned pets on a
space-available basis.
The VTF is not a full-service facility. For emergencies and
serious illnesses, patrons should seek help at an off-base veterinary clinic.
Appointments may be made for vaccinations and sick calls. Children ages 12 and
under are not allowed in the clinic.
The VTF is staffed by U.S. Army Veterinary Corps
officers, enlisted animal care specialists and civilian support personnel.
It is open to all active duty military, retired
military, and reservists or National Guard members on active duty status. Our
services include routine vaccinations, tests for parasites and treatment of
diseases that can be passed to people. Nominal fees are assessed for medical
supplies, drugs and biologics.
Animals are seen by appointment only. Appointments can
be made Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Due to high demand
we recommend calling one month in advance. We also offer limited
quarterly evening clinics.
