All OAP programs are designed for the benefit of military members and their families. Strike Marina is for the sole use of military members. White Water Open Raft Trips are just about the most fun you can have on water! Appreciated Customers, please be advised that in order to accomplish the planning aspect of our rafting trips, we MUST have at least 15 PAID customers signed up for the weekend trips by No Later Than Thursday 5:00 p.m. ONCE THE TRIP IS CANCELLED AND THE VOLUNTEER BOATMEN RELEASED, THE TRIP WILL NOT GO. Coming in Friday will not get you on the water. So PLEASE, to ensure you have a place on a whitewater open raft trip, you must sign up and pay by 5:00 p.m. the Thursday prior to the weekend trip. The ODR offers exciting year-round high-adventure programming for Gunfighters and their families. From classes to trips, there is something for everyone! Idaho provides a dramatic backdrop for trips ranging from whitewater rafting and kayaking to cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. We offer mountain biking, rock climbing, orienteering, backpacking (beginner and advanced), and camping. Just ask our staff for a calendar of upcoming trips, costs and dates. ODR also offers a wide range of classes. Learn how to tie flies, ski, use a Global Positioning System, use a map and compass, cook with a Dutch oven, and maintain your mountain bike. During the summer months, we offer a Yellowstone Trailer Program We maintain 13 trailers at two commercial camping areas just outside Yellowstone National Park. These trailers are self-contained, including cooking and eating utensils, and are ready for your enjoyment. Reservations dates vary from year to year, so call ODR for information. Personnel stationed at Mountain Home AFB may make walk-in reservations three working days prior to the nationwide reservation date. Idaho has some of the best whitewater rafting in the world. We offer a volunteer boatman program where participants attend meetings and training throughout the spring, then, after successfully completing training, become boat captains for summer trips. Paintball lovers will want to reserve time at Area 366. Our outdoor paintball facility is located near Fam Camp and is available for open and privately contracted games. Call for pricing or to make reservations. Near Fam Camp we also have a Archery Range and a Trap and Skeet Range. The ODR has a large library of magazines, books, and videos available for check-out, and we offer a complete selection of U.S.G.S. topographical maps.
