Who We Are
The mission of the Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF) is to provide complete medical care for military working dogs, to prevent and control zoontic diseases, and to provide veterinary health services to privately owned animals on a space-available basis. It is open to all active-duty military, retired military, and reservists or National Guard members on active-duty status. Nominal fees are assessed for medical supplies, drugs, and biologics.
What We Do
The VTF is staffed by U.S. Army Veterinary Corps officers, enlisted animal care specialists, and civilian support personnel.
For emergencies and serious illnesses, patrons should seek help at an off-base veterinary clinic. Appointments may be made for vaccinations, wellness exams, health certificates, and sick calls. We also offer microchips, dentals, and spay and neutering. Supervised children are always welcome in the Veterinary Treatment Facility. However, if the responsibility of your pet makes it difficult to bring in or supervise your child, please exercise safety and plan appropriately.
Animals are seen by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling 828-2221.
